Engine assist to Rising Sun

Just before 1600 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted for an engine to assist the Community Fire Company of Rising Sun on a reported residential structure fire in the unit block of Canterbury Ct., Cecil County, Maryland.
Engine 21-1 (Assistant Chief Kane) responded upon dispatch with 6 personnel.

Busy Weekend for the Union Crews

Since Friday evening, Union Fire Company No. 1 members have responded to 13 calls for service in the area.
Beginning early Friday evening, Brush 21 was alerted to assist the Robert Fulton Fire Company (Lancaster County Station 89) on a brush fire.
Crews also handled a fire alarm in Lower Oxford later that evening.

EMTs Recognized for Clinical Excellence

Today we were joined by Penn Medicine, Lancaster General Health, Manager of Acute Neurosciences Tracey Mousley and EMS Manager Andrew Rennie to present our EMS crew with “brain pins” for exceptional pre-hospital stroke care.

Accident With Entrapment in Upper Oxford

This morning, the Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted to the 600 block of Limestone Road, in Upper Oxford Township, for a reported auto accident. Additional 911 calls to the Chester County 911 Center indicated an occupant was possibly trapped. This report required additional resources to be dispatched from Medic 94 and Rescue 27 (Cochranville).

Vehicle Fire in East Nottingham

While clearing a fire alarm in Lower Oxford, Engine 21-1 was alerted to respond to the area of Barnsley Road and Media Road in East Nottingham Township for a report of a vehicle on fire in the roadway.
Engine 21-1 (Assistant Chief Kane) arrived on scene and reported a sedan on the shoulder of the roadway, fully involved in fire.
