Just wanted to say I enjoyed your page. I'm a veteran member of the Oxford Fire Dept. in Connecticut. We recently started our own page. It's still a work in progress, but I'm sure it will be just as good as yours. If interrested it's Oxfordceterfire.com. Got to go. May all of you brothers stay safe and have happy new year.

Just a quick note to say "thank-you" to all of the officers and members of Union Fire Company for your hard work in putting together Saturday's lecture.
Chief Lasky's program on Pride and Ownership was both educational and motivational. It appears that your company embodies many of the characteristics Chief Lasky highlighted.
And lastly a special note of thanks to Chief Terry for his hospitality.
Greg...the pictures from your wedding were good. Glad to see everything is going good. Paxson out.

WOW~! this site is amazing...it shows every thing from the beginning to the present...loved the history it shows..
Also, wanted to say thank you for the recent response that was given when my daughter and her dad and step mom was in an accident on 472 and frog hollow..she was ok, lil scared and shook up..but, she got out and was taken care of so well by the men that we re there..she has told me that one individual stuck out to her when she was sitting and waiting her turn to get out of the car..."Mom, he was so nice to me...he asked me my name and kept asking me if I was okay or if I was hurting any where." she couldn't remember his name cause she was to involved in what was going on..
but, if you are the man that was there making sure that my daughter was ok..from her mother and her sister...we thank you, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts...

Great site. I just spent the last 45 mins of my lunch hour just browsing. Do you ever give awards for the person who has achieved the most awards?. In the fire prevention section, there was Jackie Benham, whose name is on there 5 times.
That is quite an achievment.

Just this morning, I learned of Claire Binkley's accident. Though I have never had the fortune to meet Claire in person, she and I have been pen pals for a considerable length of time, and she has become a very dear friend to me. And so, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your response to Claire's accident.

Dear Men & Women of Station 21,
I am writing this evening on behalf of the Binkley Family to say an enormous "thank you" for your quick and efficient response on Friday night after Claire's accident.
Shortly after I got my teaching job in West Chester, Bill Binkley was assigned to be the orchestra teacher at the same school. We became very good friends. He's extremely funny, an eternal optimist (which I've seen 100-fold since the accident), and an all-around good guy. He LOVES his daughters. It's evident to anyone who talks to him for at least 5 minutes. I can't imagine how hard it has been for him to know that one of them is in so much pain and discomfort, and to know that she was put through such agony during the crash.
I know that all of you who arrived on the scene that night are now seen as God-sent to Bill and the rest of his family. It is because of you that Claire has a chance, as anything could have happened in those first minutes.
Bill has set up this CarePage and all of those he sent the link to were instructed to "share it with the whole world." Claire seems to be on a steady, but slow, road to healing. Here's the link if you're inclined to get an update.
So, to Sam and the rest of the crew, you never know who is going to need your help in this small, small world. It could be a stranger, or a member of your own family. Thank you for being there for the daughter of one of my friends. You are truly the best!
Sincerely,
Maggie Farber

I am Claire Binkley's aunt. Claire is the young lady that was pinned in her car on January 18th in East Nottingham. I wanted to lthank every one of you and et you all know how grateful I am that there are people like you who are willing to help people like my niece when they are in trouble. Your strength of character is amazing.
Claire is still in a coma - medically-induced at this point - but there is good reason to hope that she will come out of this and someday be able to walk into your station and thank you all personally.
Thanks again. You are in my prayers.
