Was checking your web site tonight wondering if I'd find an old, old picture of my grandfather, Michael Frances Meara, who was a chief at your station in the early 1900's sometime. I remember visiting your station with my father (maybe in the late 50's or very early 60's) when he identified his dad in a photo on the wall.
Somehow your picture of the horse drawn carriage, circa 1914, rings a bell with me. If that's not the right picture, then maybe it was on the wall at the time I visited. Anybody among you up on ancient history?
Hi Allen, Just checking out your website. Very nice. Hope things are good.

Chief 21, Thank you for allowing your Engine to relocate to East Brandywine on Sat June 12th. Our Kids festival was a huge success and we could not have done it without the cooperation of your company. Your Engine crew was very flexible and we appreciate them staying at the park all day. We had 1500 kids in attendance plus parents. As always please don't hesitate to call us to cover for you when in you need something. I would like to thank you all for all of your help is rescueing my horse. You asked me at the time how long she was trapped in the mud and I had no concept of time when you asked. When I got home and saw the time, I realized she was stuck in the mud for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I appreciate the pre-wash you gave to Rain. Thank you all again.

I got a visit to my station, McDonald Road, in Edinburgh, Scotland from Dave Messaros. He was a fantastic ambassador for you service and I enjoyed greatly talking to him and his wife about the service. We had recently lost a Firefighter at a job and his kind words were proof of ther international brotherhood that exists between us in the job the world over.
Cheers Dave, Be safe guys.

I would like to thank everyone who was involved with my accident on Feb.19th on Little Elk Creek Rd, "The Early Morning Pin in Maple Grove". I was the driver of the Honda CRV that had to be extricated from the car. I suffered a fractured C-2 vertebrae and serious head trauma. The doctors said I was extremely lucky and it was a miracle I wasn't paralyzed or worse. I wore a neck brace for 3 1/2 mos. which I now have off. My friend, Erica Dolinger, was the passenger and suffered a serious concussion and minor injuries to her legs. So as you can see we were extremely lucky! We are thankful to be alive and recovering well and are grateful for your quick response and everything you did that night!
My father, who is a Newark, DE. police officer, stopped by your station to personally thank you but that is hardly enough. Words can't describe how grateful I am for your hardwork, your expertise and your dedication! You are truly heroes. Thank you with all my heart!
It would be nice to know and thank anyone who was there since I can't remember anything from that night. So, if anyone would like to contact me I would be very interested in hearing from you! KVT7444@gmail.com
Again, Sincerely thank you all,
Kirsten Thomas

Hello,
We want to express our sincere thanks for all of your services during the response to the car/truck accident on Rt 10 in Russellville on May 22, 2009. Having this website and the professional demeanor exibited with both the report and the photos helped us to fill in some missing pieces and eased our troubled minds.
It has been a very difficult last two weeks for us, but we wanted to let you all know how much we appreciate all of your efforts.
Randy and Scott Waddell and family
sons of the late Marilyn and Bob Waddell who were in the white Chrysler van.
I wanted to thank the crew that came down over the weekend and covered our area so that members could enjoy themselves for day/evening.
Thanks Chief Terry for allowing them to make the trip and remember our house is your house!
See you all on the next one!

Well, here I am again. St Pattys day will be a day I will never forget! My 81 year old mother's trailer was gutted by fire. She lost every thing except a few pictures, important papers, and her car.
The quick response that was portrayed by the Union Fire Company No. 1 was amazing. They were extremely good at what they were doing in making sure all fire was out and things were secured in the area. They made sure that my mother was taken care of to the best of their ability, it was a cold day and its amazing how people come together for people in need.
To the men and woman of the company...I thank you for doing what you do.
I was prompted to google my name and I got this. Yes, I'm the Claire Binkley. A bit post factum but in any event thank you, arigatou, spasibo, danke schön, gratias tibi ago, etc.
