| As is the case in most fire companies around the country, the Union Fire Company No. 1 installed the new Officers for 2007. At the January Company Meeting, out going President Allen Fowler swore in in-coming President Robert L. Prettyman, Sr. and then turned the meeting over to him.
President Prettyman then called upon the elected Officers for the new year who stood in front of the membership and took their oath of service.
A special election was then held to fill the open Directors position that was vacated by President Prettyman. Chief Emeritus Rich Terry was elected by the membership to fill that position for the remainder of the year.
Following the installation, it was business as usual.
