Box 2113

On April 22 at 0319 hours, Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted for a truck fire in the 400 block of West Christine Road in West Nottingham Township, Box 2113. Assistant 21 (Meadowcroft) was first to arrive and found a semi truck well involved with exposure to an adjacent box trailer. Engine 21-1 (Lt. Greene) arrived and stretched the 150' bumper line and started attacking the fire. Tanker 21 (Past Chief R. Terry) arrived and started supplying Engine 21-1. Engine 21-2 (FF V. Brown), Engine 21-4 (FF R. Woolston) and Squad 21 (FF J. Taylor) assisted the first arriving crews with extinguishing the fire and overhaul. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
