On Monday, November 23,2015 after performing apparatus checks the members of the Union Fire Co #1 spent the night reviewing and training with rope equipment from both Rescue 21 and Ladder 21.

Members worked on setting up Anchor systems with proper edge protection, setting up changes of direction, and setting up 1:1, 3:1 and 5:1 hauling systems for low angle rescue. Additionally the members present worked on patient packaging utilizing the stokes basket and rigging the stokes basket for use with Ladder 21 as a high directional.

The members used the time to get some valuable hands on time with the rope gear including the proper set up and use of the MPD's (pulley, rescue belay, & decent control device), anchor plates, pulleys, set up and use of Prusiks, and Carabiners.

Great work to the members that came out to review these systems and better our service!

The Engine Company (Engine 21-1) also ran a medical assist into Lower Oxford Township during the training event.
