Reported Building Fire at Lincoln University |

Fire Box 2160 At 1407 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1, West Grove Fire Company (12/22/32), and Cochranville Fire Company (27) were alerted to the Lincoln University at 1570 Baltimore Pike in Lower Oxford Township for a reported Building Fire. Chief 21 (Prettyman) marked up after dispatch and received supplemental information from the 911 center reporting a fire on the 4th floor of Lacy Laney Hall. Chief 21 arrived to confirm a four story brick dorm, with normal conditions on the exterior and established the "Lincoln Command". Engine 21-1 (Ruoss) arrived first due engine, and laid a 300 ft supply line from the Student Union building into the scene. The Engine 21-1 crew investigated and found a small fire that was out on arrival on the fourth floor. Ladder 21, Engine 21-2, Engine 22, and Engine 27-2 arrived and were released by Command as the incident was scaled back to Engine 21-1. The Company was clear within 30 minutes, with the Fire Chief remaining to assist the Fire Marshal's Office. |
