Member Completes Vehicle Rescue Technician Training

Firefighter Brendan "Boomy" McNair has completed Vehicle Rescue Technician training at the Chester County Emergency Services Training Center in Coatesville and is now certified as a Basic Vehicle Rescue Technician by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

The 45 hour course educates students on the tools and techniques used for extricating accident victims. Emphasis is placed on the development of both knowledge and skills used by vehicle rescue personnel to achieve a safe and effective vehicle rescue operation.

Completion of this course is required to ride Rescue 21.
