At 00:53 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted for the Tanker and an Engine to assist the West Grove Fire Company (12/22/32) on a reported House on Fire in the 1600 block of Flint Hill Road in London Britain Township. A few minutes after the initial dispatch, Chief 22 was advised by Chester County Fire Radio that the Pennsylvania State Police were on location with a working house fire. Chief 22 requested the Working Fire Dispatch, adding a "Full Company" response for Station 21.

Crews from Ladder 21 (Assistant Chief Meadowcroft) and Engine 21-2 (Kinsey) arrived and assisted with setting up ground monitors, pulling hand lines and setting up water supply with Tanker 21 serving as a Nurse Tanker.

Engine 21-1 (Taylor) was directed to the fill site to fill responding Tankers in the Tanker Task Force for the duration of the incident.

Midway thru the incident, Ladder 21 was repositioned and the ladder pipe was put into operations to take advantage of the extra reach afforded by the 105' main.

During the incident, Lancaster County Tanker 52-1 (Christiana) covered the 21 Local from the Midtown Station.
