Rescue Box 2108 - 0614 hrs

On Thursday morning, the Union Fire Company #1 was alerted to the 3500 block of Newark Road in Upper Oxford for a reported motor vehicle accident.

Chief 21, Ambulance 21-1, and Rescue 21(Woolston) marked up after dispatch and received supplemental information from the Chester County Fire Radio reporting a single vehicle overturned into an 8 foot deep farm manure pit. Chief 21 arrived to confirm a vehicle upright in the pit and established Command.

Rescue 21 crew members deployed a roof ladder to investigate the vehicle and area for occupants with assistance from the property owner.

The company was available by 0710, with the incident turned over to State Police Avondale.
