At 0205 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1 was dispatched for an auto accident on Southbound Limestone Road (route 10) north of the Route 1 bypass.

Ambulance 21-1 responded and went on location in the area, unable to initially locate the incident. Chief 21 (Prettyman) was able to locate the incident at the intersection of Limestone Road and the Route 1 Bypass southbound on ramp, and went on location with a vehicle down a steep embankment, the only visible indication of the incident being a broken guiderail.

Rescue 21, with six, and Ambulance 21-1 arrived on location and descended the embankment to make patient contact. 2 patients were located outside of the vehicle, and were reporting that there was 2 additional occupants, whose status was unknown. Crews were able to walk one patient up the embankment to Ambulance 21-1. The second patient was packaged in the stokes basket which was rigged for a low angle rescue, and the patient was removed to Ambulance 21-1. The Rescue crew began attempting to locate any additional victims, however PSP was able to confirm that there was only 2 patients in the vehicle. Ambulance 21-1 transported both patients to Jennersville Regional Hospital.

Chief 21, Rescue 21, and 21 Fire police remained on scene assisting PSP and Chew's Towing with vehicle and hazard removal, and providing traffic control.
