On August 5, 2015, Union Fire Co #1 provided staffing for Engine 21-1 and Ambulance 21-2 during Oxford Mainstreet Inc.'s August "1st Friday" event. These 1st Friday events have become very well attended and the Fire Co. had the opportunity to interact with a large number of community members.

During the course of the event Engine 21-2 was in service assisting the Community Fire Co of Rising Sun on a mutual-aid barn fire in the 700 block of Firetower Rd, in Cecil Co. MD.

The next Oxford Mainstreet "1st Friday" event will be on September 4, 2015, from 5-8 pm and will be their 2nd annual car show.
