At 0509 hours Chester County Fire Communications alerted The Union Fire Company No 1, Community Fire Co of Rising Sun (Cecil 8,18,28) for 2 Engines and the Tanker and Robert Fulton Fire Company (Lanco 89) for an Engine to the unit block of E Ridge Rd in West Nottingham for the house on fire.

Deputy 21 (Obenchain) marked on the air and Chester County advised they were given multiple reports of a fully involved mobile home. Deputy 21 arrived with a double wide with fire showing and established the "East Ridge Rd Command." Command advised Engine 21-1 to take First Due Engine and lay in the driveway.

Engine 21-1 (LT Messaros) arrived and dropped a 5" supply line from the road. The Engine stopped short and the crew deployed an 1.75" handline to the front door. The front door was forced and the crew encountered a heavy smoke condition. Once inside they encountered multiple obstacles getting to the seat of the fire.

Truck 8 (LT Pierson) arrived and took the driveway behind Engine 21-1. They were assigned First Due Truck with horizontal ventilation and primary search.

Ladder 21 (LT Greene) arrived and stayed on the hard road. Their crew deployed and 1.75" backup line assisted Engine 21-1's crew.

Engine 21-2 (Chief Prettyman) picked up the supply line at the end of the lane and hooked into Tanker 21 to establish a water supply.

Command requested Engine 813 go to Todds Pond to set up a fill site and requested 2 additional tankers bringing Tanker 89, Tanker 22 and Engine 22.

Additional arriving units sent their crews into the scene to perform multiple needed tasks.

The fire was placed under control with 3 lines in service and both primary and secondary searches proved negative.

Chester County Fire Marshalls and PA State Fire Marshalls investigated the incident.

Lancaster's Engine 57-2 and Tanker 51 held the fill-in assignment at Station 21.
