Rescue Box 2108

At 2019 hours, Station 21 was dispatched for an auto accident on Route 896 north of Webb Road. Due to this being our monthly work night at the station, the Rescue(LT Messaros) and Engine 21-1(Capt. Poole) made the response pretty quickly along with Ambulance 21-1.

Units arrived on scene to find two vehicles partially blocking with all occupants out. One vehicle was attempting to pass the other and lost control due to icy road conditions and struck a pole. The other vehicle also slid off the roadway. Engine 21-1 held their crew and held a blocking position at Webb Road due to poor road conditions in the area. The crew from Rescue secured one vehicle while the other was still drivable. Ambulance 21-1 evaluated 2 patients with no transport. Fire and EMS units cleared the scene while Fire Police assisted PA State Police while the vehicle was towed.
