Afternoon School Bus Crash

Rescue Box 2102

On Wednesday afternoon, The Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted at 1525 hours for a Motor Vehicle Collision involving a school bus at the intersection of Scroggy Road and Jackson School Road in Lower Oxford Township. Supplemental information stated numerous children on the bus. Rescue 21 (staffed with 4), Engine 21-1 (staffed with 5), Engine 21-4 (staffed with 3), Ambulance 21-2 and Deputy 21 (Prettyman, Jr.) made the response.

Deputy 21 arrived on location assuming the "Scroggy Road Command" and Ambulance 21-2 arrived on scene and began triaging the scene. Two additional BLS ambulances was requested. This alerted West Grove (22) and Rising Sun, MD (8). The crews of Rescue 21 and Engine 21-1 arrived and began assisting with EMS and checking for hazards. Due to the nature of the injuries, only one ambulance was utilized.

Ambulance 21-2 transported four Patients to the Jennersville Regional Hospital.

The final units were clear of the incident at 1634 hours
