At 1042 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1, along with Medic 94 (SCCEMS), West Grove EMS (12), and Avondale EMS (23), was alerted for a reported Motor Vehicle Collision with Entrapment at the intersection of Baltimore Pike and Grist Mill Lane in the Forestville section of Upper Oxford Township.

Numerous calls to 911 reported a single vehicle overturned with at least one subject trapped inside.

Chief 21 (Kelley) arrived and established the "Baltimore Pike Command". The Chief confirmed one subject ejected and one subject inside the vehicle.

Shortly after, the Chester County Fireboard alerted Station 21 for a second incident and added Station 12 (West Grove) for a reported Furnace Malfunction on College Circle in the Lincoln University section of Lower Oxford Township.

Units arriving at the crash began patient triage and vehicle stabilization. The crew from Rescue 21 utilized the Junkyard Dog struts and box cribbing to stabilize the car and then removed all four doors and performed an inverted dash roll using the Hurst hydraulic tools to remove the trapped patient.

Units arrived at College Circle with smoke showing from the front door. Deputy 21 (Prettyman) established the "College Circle Command". Crews ran a line, investigated, and ventilated the entire house.

Engine 22 (West Grove) established a Landing Zone for Medevac 3 at the Jennersville Regional Hospital.

Ambulance 12-1 and Medic 1-94-1 transported one patient to the Christiana Hospital in Delaware.

The final units were clear of both incidents at 1237 hours.

The members of the Union Fire Company No. 1 extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the injured and deceased subjects involved in this incident.
