Two Engines Run Elkton Fire

At 1559 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted for an Engine as part of the Second Alarm Assignment to assist the William M. Singerly Hose, Hook & Ladder Company #1 of Elkton, Maryland (Station 3) on a house on fire in the 1000 block of Singerly Road (Route 213).

Engine 21-2 (Lieutenant Greene) with a crew of five responded at 1600 hours. Engine 21-4 (FF Taylor) responded with a crew of four at 1607 hours.

Upon arrival, both units sent their crews into the manpower. They were quickly put to work performing overhaul duties on both the interior and the roof of the home.

While operating on the scene, Engine 25-2 (Longwood) transferred to Station 21 to cover the District.

The final units were clear of the scene at 1805 hours.
