Company Runs Jennersville House Fire

At 1842 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted for one Engine as part of the Working Fire Dispatch assisting the West Grove Fire Company (12/22/32) on a House Fire in the 100 block of Sunnyside Road in the Jennersville section of Penn Township.

Within minutes, a Second Alarm was transmitted that alerted Station 21 for a full company response.

Ladder 22 and Assistant 22 arrived simultaneously reporting a working fire in a 2 story home.

Engine 21-2 (Asst. Chief Terry) and Ladder 21 (Captain Meadowcroft) arrived and staged on Sunnyside Road. The crews threw ground ladders to all sides before regrouping on the rear deck. Once both crews were reunited, the Truck crew went to the second floor and the Engine crew took the first floor. Both crews worked on opening up and extinquishing the advancing fire.

Engine 21-1 (Lieutenant Greene) arrived and the crew was sent to the Manpower Pool before relieving interior crews.

Crews also worked to overhaul the garage before being released.

The final Oxford units were clear and back in service by 2200 hours.

Engine 813 (Rising Sun, MD) and Tanker 57 (Quarryville) transferred to Station 21.
