| Fire Box 2100 At 0633 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1, along with Engine 12 and Ladder 22 (West Grove) and Engine 18 and Truck 8 (Rising Sun, MD), was alerted for a reported shed on fire in the 200 block of North Third Street in the Borough of Oxford. Deputy 21 (Prettyman) arrived to find a shed fully involved with the fire extending into the adjacent building along the roof line. to the roof of the building. Engine 21-1 (FF Woolston) arrived with a crew of four and pulled past the building in the parking lot. The crew deployed one 1.75" handline off of the rear of the engine and began attacking the fire. Chief 21 (Kelley) arrived and established the "Masonic Command" and requested the Working Fire Dispatch that added Rescue 27 (Cochranville), Rescue and Truck 57 (Quarryville), and Medic 779 (SVEMS). Once the bulk of the fire on the exterior was knocked down, the crew from Engine 21-1 entered the building. Additional arriving crews from Rescue 21 (Capt. Paxson) and Engine 21-2 (Capt. Obenchain) threw multiple ground ladders to the sides of the building. Engine 21-2 also reversed laid a 5" supply line from Engine 21-1 to a hydrant up the street and established a water supply. Upon completion of throwing ground ladders, the crews then went to the roof and began to open up to expose the extending fire. With quick work being made of the fire, Command scaled back the incident to the 21 units and Truck 8. Truck 8 arrived on side Delta and the crew placed two fans into service to remove all of the smoke that was still inside the building. Crews worked to bring the incident under control and the Chester County Fire Marshals Office investigated the blaze. The final units were clear of the incident at 0853 hours.
