At 1335 hours, the Union Fire Co. #1 was alerted for an Engine to transfer to New Castle County Fire Station 19 (Hockessin) to cover their area while they worked a third alarm school fire in Talleyville. Engine 21-2 (Davis) made the response with four men.

At 1417 hours while enroute to Fire Station 19 , Engine 21-2 was placed on a field fire assignment at Juniper Drive/Sun Drive in the North Star section of New Castle. Engine 21-2 and Tanker 19 arrived to find a small fire held in check by the homeowner running the green line. Units were available at 1433 hours after some light booster line work.

At 1508 hours, Engine 21-2 was alerted from 19's quarters, to assist the Avondale Fire Company with multiple cars on fire at the Hartefeld Country Club in New Garden Township. Engine 21-2 arrived first due and ran the bumper line to quickly contain the three auto's on fire and a small spreading brush fire. Rescue 23 arrived and assisted with overhauling the vehicles. Engine 21-2 was released from the scene at 1552 hours. The Command was held by Assistant 23.

Engine 21-2 returned to Fire Station 19, and was released a short time later with their units returning.

While we were out, Engines 1 & 4 ran an inside electricial fire in the 400 Block of Fifth Street in Oxford Borough.
