At 1311 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1, an Engine and Truck from Rising Sun (Station 8), and an Engine from West Grove (Station 12) were alerted for a reported house on fire in the 500 block of Park Street in Oxford Boro. Reports stated a basement fire with everyone out of the house.

Engine 21-1 caught the hydrant at Park and North Fourth and laid out a 5" supply line into the scene. The crew stretched one 1.75" handline into the house.

Ladder 21 took the front of the house and the crew worked on ventilation.

Chief 21 (Kelley) arrived and established the "Park Street Command".

Additional arriving units staged on Park Street with Engine 21-4 taking the hydrant.

After a quick knock, the response was held to the 21 units. Crews worked on overhauling the basement and first floor bathroom where the fire had extended into the floor. The Chester County Fire Marshals investigated the incident.

All units were clear of the scene at 1434 hours.
