| Four Members of the Union Fire Company No. 1 attended the funeral of Past Chief Richard "Dick" Klingler of the Parkesburg Fire Company. Mr. Klingler served the company as Fire Chief for over 20 years.
Ladder 21 was used along with Lancaster County Truck 4-2 (Gap Fire Company) for a Ladder Arch that was set up at the Parkesburg Firehouse (Station 28). The funeral procession, led by family members, passed the Firehouse and under the ladder arch as Chief Klinger was led to his final resting place.
