Just after 3am Union firefighters and EMS were alerted for a motor vehicle accident in the 2200 block of Baltimore Pike, East Nottingham Township.

EMS arrived first and reported a vehicle overturn against the building with wires down. Rescue 21 (Kane) arrived and established the Baltimore Pike Command. Hazards were controlled and the the building evaluated for structural damage by the ENT Building Inspector.

PSP Avondale are investigating the accident.

Baltimore Pike between Wedgewood and Waterway Rds. will be closed for an extended period while PECO repairs the damaged utility pole.
