3 Extricated in Little Britain

On Wednesday 9/21 Rescue 21 was dispatched to assist Lancaster County Station 89 on an Accident with Entrapment at the intersection of Nottingham Rd and Green Lane. Assistant 89 arrived on scene with a sedan “T-boned” by a dump truck. One patient was self extricated with 3 patients still trapped in the vehicle. Engine 89-2, Brush 89 and Engine 89-3 arrived and started extrication. One patient was extricated prior to the arrival of Rescue 21. Upon arrival Rescue 21s crew deployed several rescue tools to assist with the extrication. All four doors, a total roof removal and partial removal of a seat was needed in order to extricate the 2 patients. The trapped patients were extricated within 29 minutes. All Patients were turned to EMS and transported to local trauma centers. Rescue 21 cleared the scene shortly after extrication was complete.
