Shed Fire on Bethel Rd

Just before 1pm on Sunday, the Union Fire Company No. 1, along with Lancaster Station 57, Cecil Tanker 8, an Engine from Station 27 (Cochranville) and an Ambulance from the West Grove Fire Company were alerted to the 100 Block of Bethel Rd in Lower Oxford Township for the Shed Fire.

Engine 21-1 responded with a crew of 5 and arrived as the First Due Engine. The crew deployed the 300 foot line to begin fire attack on the shed and a small trailer.

Ladder 21 arrived and the crew stretched a second handline, with Tanker 21 supplying Engine 21-1 with additional water.

With the fire being knocked quickly, the assignment was scaled back to the 21 units, with all units clear of the scene in less than an hour.
