Box 2105

On Saturday afternoon, the Union Fire Company No 1 and Medic 93 (covering 94) were dispatched to Barren and Chrome Rd in Elk Township for an Auto Accident with Entrapment. The initial report was for 2 vehicles that had hit head on with one driver trapped.

Station 21 EMS arrived to confirm that the door would need to be "popped" on one of the vehicles.

Rescue 21 arrived, with Captain 21 assuming command, as the crew stabilized the vehicle to prepare for extrication. The spreaders were used to pop the door so the occupant could be removed.

EMS transported both patients to the hospital and fire crews were available shortly thereafter.
