Thanksgiving Day Keeps Union Crews Busy

At 3:15 this afternoon, the Union Fire Company No. 1 was called to assist Community Fire Company of Rising Sun, Inc for a 20’ x 40’ shed on fire in the area of Misty Meadow Lane. Twelve members responded and performed mop up and overhaul. Engine 21-2 and Utility 21 were on-scene for approximately 45 minutes.

Roughly 2 hours later, Engine 21-2 and Tanker 21 were dispatched to assist Robert Fulton Fire Company with a brush fire on King Pen Road, in Little Britain Township. Ten members responded and established the water supply as well as assisted with fire suppression. Union Members were on-scene for roughly 90 minutes.

Fire crews ran an EMS Assist and a BLS crash on the bypass later in the evening, while EMS handled ten calls for service in the district throughout the day.
