At 3:37am the company was alerted to assist Community Fire Company of Rising Sun (Cecil Station 8) for a house fire on the 100 block of Old Elm Road in Calvert Maryland. Engine 21-2 responded with a crew of four. While enroute, Command advised that the operation was defensive. Tanker 21 was requested and responded with a crew of 2.

On arrival Engine 21-2 crew completed a 360, but was redirected to Doctor Miller Rd to set up a drafting site. The crew was able to set up a draft and begin filling the first tanker within 10-12 minutes. Engine 21-2 operated for just over 2.5 hours and drafted more than 54,000 gallons from the creek.
