Box 2112

On Monday afternoon, the Union Fire Company No. 1 and Mutual Aide were alerted to the 200 Block of Elk Creek Rd in East Nottingham Twp for the House Fire.

Initial reports were for a lawn mower on fire in the garage.

Chief 21 arrived with a Working Fire in an attached garage that was quickly moving towards the living space of the dwelling.

Engine 21-1 arrived and laid a supply line from Rt 472. The crew quickly stretched a 1 3/4 inch line to knock down the fire in the garage.

Additional arriving units operated on multiple handlines, performed overhaul and checked the house for extension.

Thanks to the quick work of the first in crews, the bulk of the fire was held to the garage and breezeway area.

Thank you to the Christiana Fire Company (Lancaster 52) and Robert Fulton Fire Company (Lancaster 89) for standing by at Station 21 during the incident.
