Around 0830 hours this morning as Engine 21-1 was returning from a medical run with our ambulance, Chester County Fire Board advised that the company was being sent to the 100 block of Nottingham Road in Little Britain Township for a house on fire. Engine 21-1 made the response from the Lincoln University area while Ladder, Tanker, Rescue, and Engine 21-2 responded from the Midtown Fire House. Units from the Robert Fulton Fire Company (Lancaster 89) arrived to find a two story farm house with fire on the first and second floor. Crew from Engine 21-1 stretched a back up hand line and extinguished fire inside the home. Ladder 21 split crews and performed searches while the truck driver performed vertical ventilation. Units remained on scene for approximately two hours. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was under investigation. Members returned to the fire house and spent another hour returning all equipment to service.

Engine 22 from the West Grove Fire Company stood by in our fire house during the incident.
