Afternoon Upper Oxford House Fire

During the afternoon of March 27, area firefighters took a break from social distancing and responded for the house on fire at in Upper Oxford Township. Fire Chief 21 (Kinsey) arrived and reported a working fire involving a 1.5 story bungalow home. Crews from Engine 27 (Cochranville) and Engine 211 stretched a line and worked together to extinguish a fire on the first floor and perform a primary search. Initial reports of someone trapped in the home were proved to be unfounded after searches were completed. The incident was held to units from Union Fire Company and the Cochranville Fire Company. Units assisted the county Fire Marshals before returning to service and resuming social distancing.
