The Union Fire Company is saddened to announce the death of Gerry Davis. Gerry was a 18-year member of the company where he rose to the rank of Assistant Fire Chief.

Gerry's legacy here at Union Fire Company will be one of friendship, fellowship, and service. Gerry was a committeeman most recently serving as Chairman of the Long Range Planning Committee. This committee is tasked with recommending how the company conducts it's affairs over the next generation.

We will miss his kind disposition and friendly smile. He was a man who cares deeply about hiis fellow firefighters. When he was diagnosed with cancer he made it his "job" to spread the word on cancer, specifically, firefighter cancer. His talks with fire departments across the region has brought awareness to his fellow firefighters. We are grateful that he turned his diagnosis into a mission of service.

Our sympathies are with his wife Donna, children, and grandchildren. We also extend our condolences to the Bethel Hose Company where Gerry served as Fire Chief prior to moving to the greater Oxford area.
