Hey guys great site! Sorry that we couldn't get Engine 12-1 out to you on Wednesday for you garage fire. We couldnt get a driver. But thanks for coming to all of ours. Keep doing a good job.
Many memories came to my mind as I leafed through the webpages representing Union Fire Company #1. I still have my badge from 1970, when I started my public service career with UFC. It is wonderful to see the advances, and changes that have occurred in the 30+ years since I left Oxford. Keep up the good work. If y'all ever get down into the deep south, say hey!

In the early hours of Friday morning February 18, I awoke to the crackling of fire in my home. My 2 girls were asleep upstairs in their beds and my 14 yr. old daughter, Megan had a friend over for the night. After waking them and getting them safely outside I called 911. Avondale, Oxford, West Grove and Cochranville all responded to my call for help. For all the men and women who were at my home(and there were about 50 of you) fighting that electrical fire, I wish to sincerely thank each of you. Everyone was extremely nice and considerate of me and of my familys' feelings about our personal belongings and our home being destroyed. One fireman from Oxford, on the back of his firecoat with the number 21 on it read, B. Gray. I want to extend a special thank you to him. He found cash in my daughters bedroom during the fire and returned it to me. His integrity is commendable, and I think, Rare. So thank you to B. Gray and to all of you who helped me in my families hour of need. Sincerely, Sharon Lane
I'd like to thank Assistant-21 for the hospitality given to Captain Trowbridge and myself while we were in Oxford on Tuesday the 15th.
We had a great time and look forward to the next visit. Hopefully we can respond on a call! Keep it real and be safe!

Great web site. I check it daily. Can't wait for the new engine to come in, so you can have one awesome dual housing...with the new big dog tanker. And speaking of that, just had to say, nice new tanker tractor you got there. After all, if you can't run with the big dogs, keep your "kitten" under the porch!!!

While trying out my new computer I ran across your website and had a really good laugh and some fond memories as I recognized some of the faces in your gallery. Being the daughter and now mother of one of your former and hopefully future members, great job. It was really great seeing some of these faces I have not seen since moving to Oklahoma 5 years ago.
OUTSTANDING site and an oustanding fire company! It is clear that the members of the 21's have ALOT to be proud of...hope to see ya sometime soon.
Take Care,
BillyG

To the 21 Boys, Merry X-mas and Happy New Year. Congrats to Chris on his new upcoming Chief position. The NEW 414 is in service, so a couple calls to the Farm Land would be nice.
Hey guy's 'n' gal's, I just ran across your site and I must say VERY NICE!!!! I love the retired apparatus and the history section. It looks like you've had you share of the really bad P.I.'s. Just want to wish you a happy and safe holiday. Keep up the good work and as alway's stay safe.

To the Oxford Brothers and Sisters,
Great Web site!! You are definately dailed in on this one, Keep up the great work. Looks like you do a fine job. I am truly sorry that you have to work with Dan "Cupcake" Murray. There is nothing worse than having to carry the weight of some guy dubbin' around on a job. I can truly see why it is an asset for your department to send him away " industrial yatching" half the year. He did give me a 21 Truck Shirt however that I will wear proudly here in Maine. Keep up the babysiiting and Be Safe!
Regards,
PJ Johnson
