Mushroom Houses on Fire in Kelton |

Fire Box 2224 At 2355 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted to assist the West Grove Fire Company (22) on a reported Building Fire in the 200 block of Pennocks Bridge Road in the Kelton section of Penn Township. Deputy 22 arrived confirming a working fire in two mushroom houses. Arriving Oxford units staged on Pennocks Bridge Road and sent their crews in to assist with the fire attack. Engine 21-2 (Captain Poole) reported to the east side of the incident and laid a second 5" supply line and ran a handline to attack the fire. The final Oxford units were clear of the incident at 0205 hours. Engine 57-2 (Quarryville) and Tanker 8 (Rising Sun, MD) transferred to Station 21 to cover the area. *** Photos courtesy of the West Grove Fire Company. *** |
