Barn Fire in Stricklersville

Fire Box 2231

At 2139 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted for Rescue 21 as the Rapid Intervention Team to assist the West Grove Fire Company (22) on a reported Barn Fire on Stricklersville Road in the Stricklersville section of London Britain Township. As units marked up, the Chester County Fireboard reported numerous calls of a working fire. Deputy 22 requested the Working Fire Dispatch and the First Alarm Tanker Task Force. This alerted for Tanker 21.

Engine 21-2, Rescue 21, and Tanker 21 all responded within minutes. Upon arrival, Tanker 21 entered the Tanker Shuttle while the Rescue and Engine crews were directed to assist with the fire attack and overhaul.

Tanker 21 shuttled numerous loads of water and the crews worked for several hours at the scene.

The final Oxford units were clear of the scene 0108 hours.

Engine 57-2 (Quarryville) transferred to Station 21 to cover the area.
