Box 2107

At 0752 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted for a reported Auto Fire in the 100 block of Wedgewood Road in East Nottingham Township.

Numerous calls to 911 reported a working fire with possible extension into a garage.

Engine 21-2 (Captain Poole) arrived to find a fully involved pick-up truck on fire. The crew stretched an 1.75" handline and began attacking the fire.

Additional arriving units staged along the road and their crews assisted at the scene with fire suppression, checking the garage for fire extension, and overhaul. They were able to confirm that the fire had not spread beyond the pick-up truck.

The fire was extinguished and the incident was placed under control.

The final units were clear of the scene at 0842 hours.
