At 0936 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted for Tanker 21 as part of the First Alarm Tanker Task Force assisting the Singerly Fire Company of Elkton (Station 3) on the working House Fire on Barksdale Court in the Barksdale section of Cecil County, Maryland.

Tanker 21 (FF Nelson) and Engine 21-2 (FF Brian Slauch) responded with a total number of seven (7) personnel.

Upon arrival, Tanker 21 was set up as the Nurse Tanker along Appleton Road and was used to supplement water into the folding tank that was supplying the scene.

The crew from Engine 21-2 was sent into the scene and assisted with fire suppression and overhaul on both the interior of the house and on the roof from the aerial of Ladder 9 (Newark, DE). Engine 21-2 then shuttled several loads of water.

Engine 27-5 (Cochranville) transferred to Station 21 for the duration of the incident to cover the Oxford area.

The final Oxford units were clear of the incident at 1222 hours.
