Two Vehicle Accident at Rt 1 and 896

At 13:22 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1, along with an Ambulance from the West Grove Fire Company and Medic 94 (SCCEMS), was alerted for an Auto Accident with Entrapment on the Northbound Rt. 1 Bypass at Rt. 896, in Upper Oxford Township.

Deputy 21 arrived to find a two vehicle accident with one on its roof. "Newark Road Command," was established and the location updated to the overpass of Rt. 1. EMS Units arrived to find that the occupant in the overturned vehicle was able to get out without the use of Rescue Equipment.

Rescue 21 and Squad 21 arrived and assisted with the hazards, while the road was shut down, as Engine 21-3 and Utility 21 responded from the Nottingham Station at a reduced rate.

Ambulance 21-2 and Medic 94-1 transported one patient to the hospital, with all 21 Units clear shortly after 14:00 hours.
